Sunsets & Sunrises: The blessings we missed!

How many times have you sat gazing at a sunrise or a sunset points and wondered how many other people, right at that same exact moment have their eyes fixed on the sun and are seeing exactly what you are seeing? Well, do we really do that? Or is it we are spellbound in the glory of what we see that we end up keeping that experience to own ourselves?  Somehow in that exact moment of peace and tranquility, the stolen moment seems like our own, not a shared one.

It’s interesting though that we make time for sunrises and sunsets on vacation, yet in everyday life, our daily chores disrupt our ability to absorb this special moment that fleetingly happens twice a day. Shame on us for not finding out the time to indulge in this marvel of nature. It paints the sky in stunning colors,  and we waste these precious moments by not enjoying the gift of this view. We all are just as much an offender of letting life get in the way of this treasured daily occurrence as the next person. We rush through our daily routine only to hurry home to be able to repeat the routine again the next day.

On vacation, however, the daily grind is not present, so sunrise and sunset become a priority along with a morning cup of favorite coffee or in the evening sipping a cup of tea. Whether taking it all in atop a mountain of Mount Abu or by the peaceful shores of Kanyakumari. We do take time to absorb, relish, and reflect in this wonder of nature!
